Google Chrome - Works in Mysterious Ways

Why is it that Google Chrome opens so many processes? I've always gotten somewhat choppy results from Chrome and it would see that this is the reason. It has 17 different processes running at 1 time, all supposedly nothing but my web browser. Do you really need 17 processes to run a web browser? It seems counter productive but I am not a programmer so maybe that's supposedly a better way to design the program. It uses up a lot of memory and tends to continue to grow even though I know that there is no activity. What exactly is it saving? Does anyone know?

Whats the point of this blog anyway? I hate on Turks, hate on Macs, try to inform about Linux and for what? I can hate the Turks but they aren't going anywhere.

And in reality, I can't even really hate on the Turks. They are hustlers and they may be shady but it works! It's sad but it's true, the Turks have game.

There's no point in flaming macintosh, if you want to be a poser, go ahead. It's your right as an American to be a noob for life if thats what you want.

Same Document Export From Open Office

As if we all didn't already know, Open Office is the superior product. Here is the exact same document exported from Open Office Writer. NO MISTAKES! Perfect code even if it is a little bulky. But, it's not a web authoring tool its a document writer so I don't expect the code to be pretty, but i do expect it to be correct. Open Office beats Microsoft Office, here is visual proof.

Just in case you didn't know, Microsoft Word lets you save you word document as a web page. It's 2010, and they STILL haven't figured out how to do it right. If you are planning on saving something in Word as a web page, don't! You'll regret it.

I keep having iTards aka Apple fanboys ask me why I hate Apple? I mean they don't get viruseses and their support is so helpful and friendly! What more could a man ask for!

This makes me hurl a little. You know their has always been an OS that doesn't get infected with gayness and offers limitless support. The difference is that they don't use it to dumb you down and take your money. It's called LINUX! and Apple wants to be them so bad they can't stand it! Why do you think they stole the look of Gnome? They sell over priced server hardware inappropriately called X-Servers. An X-Server is not a machine! It is a Linux server SOFTWARE solution that hands out X11 desktops to thin clients. Is that over your head? ITS BECAUSE YOU USE A MAC AND YOUR A NOOB!

Their new OS is "built on BSD". Let me tell you, I had the unpleasant task of helping with one of these "BSD" environments at work a few weeks ago, it's not even close. Just accept it Mac ppl, it's not Linux. It really isn't just get over it. And if it IS, then why use the idiot version? Why not just use the real deal? Cause you can't! Thats why. It's not hard, but you can't live without that little Apple button on your keyboard.

The thing about Apple is, THEY HAVE NEVER SOLD AND WILL NEVER SELL YOU ANYTHING THAT YOU ACTUALLY NEED! Look around you. There are hundreds of other solutions to all of the things Apple offers. The difference between them and Apple is they don't have a HYPE button! Apple is a marketing group that just happens to sell technology. Their commercials are proof of that. They show the Microsoft guy there in a suit and tie like he's the corporate bully. There is no company on earth more corporate than Apple. The Mac guy is there looking like someone who hangs out at Starbucks listening to the White Stripes. He drove their in his Hybrid and doesn't support the fur industry. He's a hippy homosexual.

I love how they say "Mac was rated #1 in support over PC, how does that makes you feel" Well it shouldn't make you feel anything, because THERE IS NO COMPANY CALLED PC! You don't call Microsoft when Windows breaks! Why would you, they didn't sell you your computer, they DON'T OWE YOU ANYTHING! They sold the OS to the company who sold you the computer. YOU CALL THEM FOR SUPPORT! Dell, HP, Acer, those are the people you call. They are not a collective group of companies who call themselves PC. So the statement made in that commercial is as suggestive as it is pathetic.

You pretty much have to pay for everything on a Mac. Apple no doubt makes their monthly quota on accessories alone. Those accessories aren't there to help you. They could have just made everything standard like the rest of the world, but they change stuff up all the time so they can sell you something different. Don't ever think Apple is offering you help, look at the App Store for the iphone, itunes, ianything at all will cost you! When it comes to genuine support, Apple isucks!

Mac ppl, quit wasting my time with your endless chatter. You are brainwashed. You use a Mac and you're proud of it! That's great, because as long as you're a Mac user, you will always be a consumer! You'll never be in control of your environment because Apple will keep dumbing you down. You'll never reach my level so at least I can take some joy out of knowing I WILL ALWAYS BE BETTER THAN YOU! Not that I am great at all, but seriously I'm above you. You can not buy skill! and Apple is for people with more money that skill. Let me say that again in bold

Maybe I was too hard on Google Voice. This thing is actually pretty sweet. For one thing I didn't realize how handy having all of your voice mails and SMS messages presented to you like an inbox for email. If my phone, or when my phone dies I can still get my messages and voicemails.

But the best feature I've found so far is it transcribes your voicemails, and emails them you! Thats right, you get an email with the voicemail typed out and it's pretty accurate. It's impossible to make a speech-to-text engine work flawlessly, but it's pretty close. I would have paid like $5 extra to Verizon to have this added if they offered it.

So Google Voice is pretty handy, I wish it was the solution to the voice plan problem but I don't think it's quite there yet. After they realize what their users are really looking for, by reading their forums which is full of requests for VoiP, they'll come around. Skype said forever ago that a Blackberry client was coming out in May. Well May passed and they never said another word about it, so Skype is out. Maybe I should just jump ship and go for an Android phone.

To anyone who I had told that Google Voice would be awesome, I am sorry. I was totally wrong. In the original description of the service they implied that it would work like Skype and run directly through the internet. This would let you download the Google Voice app on your Blackberry, sign up for the free phone number from Google, and have calls directed to your Blackberry for free. All over the data connection so you don't have to pay for your mobile providers voice plan.

However, this is not the case. You sign up for the number and Google redirects the calls to your current phone number, saving you absolutely nothing. When you dial out through the app it just calls then using your voice line. If you want your number to show up as your Google number you call the Google number first, answer 5000 questions and eventually your call will go through. It will save you long distance charges if you are a caveman with a noob voice plan that actually charges long distance.

I waited for 2 months to get an invite to the beta and I have to say that I am thoroughly disappointed. The Blackberry application doesn't serve any purpose other than just to be a GUI for your voice mails. And I KNOW you've all been waiting for that lol If you wanted to get a new number to give to people or if you use your personal phone as a business phone and need it to have a sort of second identity, then this service is great. But if you're looking to save money on your mobile bill, keep looking.

Here are some facts, not theories, about life and perception.

Ok, at our greatest distance from the sun we are 93 million miles away.

There are 5,280 feet in a mile.

It is a known, proven, observed, absolute truth that the sun shrinks 5 feet every hour. That means it gets 2.5 feet farther away from us every hour. It has been doing this nonstop since it formed. It cant help but do this as it IS a big burning ball of gas.

So 22,421,917 years ago, the earth was INSIDE THE SUN!

We see how useless the 2 planets closer to the sun than us are, we can only survive due to our perfect distance from the sun. It is very safe to say that Earth itself, could not have formed inside the sun. DDDEERRR So, the earth can not be more than 22 million years old. And life could not have existed for many millions of years afterward.

I'm sorry, but carbon dating is incorrect. Evolution is incorrect. Anyone who says anything about the earth being 300 million years old, is incorrect. There's no way around it.

This is really not that surprising to me. Our zodiac signs are a full month behind because they were developed so long ago that our speed against the mass of the sun has thrown the ratio off. Ubuntu rarely fails me, but it fails horribly when trying to update from the default repository list. The Translation US-en or something similar files that gives errors don't exist, so replace all of the info in /etc/apt/source.list with this:

A tragic day for us all. Well really just for me because I noobed my pc and corrupted all of my datas. Not my home computer, my work computer. Luckily I have been making incremental backups so I'm not really going to lose anything other than my precious bookmarks and some source code. But those bookmarks had lots of info saved along with them, I'm not pleased. So now to try and help all you noobs save your stuff so you don't end up ill like me, pay attention.

First of all, if you aren't using Firefox, you're a noob and you're way behind. If you use IE, you WILL get spyware, you WILL be asked 500 million questions, and eventually you WILL have to format your pc because you clicked on the wrong banner add. If you're using Safari, /suicide please. They do make Firefox for Mac, but I recommend slamming your fruity little apple computer on the ground and taking a picture of it for me. If you want to be different use Opera, don't be lame and buy a Mac (more on that later).

So you've denoobed yourself and downloaded Firefox like a 31337 H4><0R, now go download this extension. myVmakrs This will save your bookmarks in an online account so that when you crash your pc with IE or accidentally erase your drive indexes, you won't lose your bookmarks. Sure wish I would have followed my own advice here because I need those bookmarks and now I'm totally screwed.

Just because I haven't posted in a while doesn't mean that I don't still bot all up in uranus and that Macs aren't still as dangerous to our future as MTV and American Idol. Am I the only one who has noticed that Apple stopped making the "I'm a Mac, I'm a PC" commercials after Bill Gates put his face on a commercial saying "I'm a PC, and I still rule the world". Vista works fine, it was easy to convince people otherwise when it was still new but it's been out for quite some time now and it's time to just deal with it. HAHAHA You've succeeded in creating the perfect laptop for a SHOELESS HIPPIE! We're all really stoked for you. What will they do now that touch screen is pretty much a standard feature on everything? Like it even matters, the only advantage to touch screen is the screen can span the entire length of the device. It was never THAT much of a technological marvel.

Back to browsers, my wife bought us a Wii recently. I immediately started looking for hacks and mods for them of course, and I learned I could get Opera on my Wii. So I did. It cost me $5 from the Store channel, but whatever. It's pretty pitiful. You can't update anything, so it's got like Flash 8 and Java 1.5 or something like that and everything is in serious need of polishing. You cant type in some email fields, if you get a popup it takes over your browser window so when you click back, you get the page with the link you clicked, not the page you wanted, you'll never get that page if something pops up every time you click it. Kind of gay but at least I can watch StrongBad and South Park in the browser and it doesn't look THAT horrible. Looks pretty bad though. UR FACE!

This portion is the WALKSCRIPT and is the only portion you need to change when you decide to create a new default.lst.

I created this script using the walkscriptor version of the agbot in the botlikeido.rar package.
When you open the bot, click in view and go to Maps. You see Record Mouse Click in its window. When you select Record Mouse Click, it says Do you want to save your previous Walkscript or something like that, you'll have to say yes to this, so I'll clarify something real quick:

In the folder you'll see the path
walkscripter/config/config1/
walkscript.txt is in that folder and is the default that will be written when you Record Mouse Click. If you need to save what's there, do it first.

Your Map window will start out in Jangan you'll have to go West a bit first. The only box where clicks are recorded is the center square. The other 8 squares are for navigating.
Go to the stable in Hotan, Record Mouse Click, say yes, start making a path. When you're finished, uncheck Record Mouse Click, go to
walkscripter/config/config1/ walkscript.txt

save this file as kara.txt sniper.txt or whatever it is going to, then copy the walkpath in clipboard, and paste it into the walkscript section of default.lst. Teleport to start the Walkscript in the new agBot 3.14d using Nu77, and watch the magic begin.

If you know anything about Linux, this will make you roflmfao! for days. Condition Script is the key command to this process. You will not spawn exactly where it says, but the bot knows you just teleported and the location in the condition script lets it know you are in hotan. The best way to trigger this script is to walk outside the town, enable loop on after teleport in the 2.2.7 agbot (1.6.5v6), and use a return scroll. Then sit back and watch the magic. Protect Off is important because if it is left on your character will attack everything that hits them. It's supposed to not mess anything up, but it does. Leave it off. Also leave stop Bot otherwise your guy will buff then stand there and keep buffing. You can take off the horse part if you want, but I've never had it spawn a horse and then go to the right spot without buying it in the town via the script. The only things you may want to change are:

blacksmith: if you are going to sell anything to the npc you do it at the blacksmith. a lot of loops have people selling stuff to the storage keeper. that's a terrible idea because you can't normally do that, and obviously you are botting if you sell something to the storage keeper. BEFORE you SELL you must OPEN and then CLOSE. Open the blacksmith and repair and close again. Do them as seperate processes or else he'll just spend all day with ol' smithy.

potion merchant: Most people will want the xl potions instead of the large ones in my script. If you are fighting something that gives a abnormal status of some kind, make sure you buy the pills AND!!! in your Return to Town config, you need to add a variable of some kind. Auto Potions DO NOT work with abnormal status, it has to stay in your belt, so if you use them all, nothing will be there, and you will DDDDIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now that you have that part, open up an older version of agBot, I prefer 1.6.3v11. Download the bot with the maps HERE. Go to Views - Maps and maximize everything. The box you can add paths from is the center square. If you click in any other square it moves the map in that direction. You start in Jangan, so guess which way you need to click a bunch. If you have to ask, gtfo right now. When you get to Hotan click to the stairs you will be descending. Now click Record Mouse Click. It will say you wanna over write blah blah yes you do. When you click down the stairs make sure you Y is 48 until you get into the grass. Record the path you want to travel and uncheck Record Mouse Click when you're done. Then in the 1.6.3v11 folder go into configs and your players config and find walkscript.txt. Copy and paste all the coordinates you recorded into the Default.lst file in your 1.6.5v6 players config after my code above.

So you got conditional scripts-npc scripts-the walkscript, now you need to start the bot.

Replace x y and radius with the appropriate coordinates. I find that turning Protect On right here keeps the bot from humping a tree to get to something across the map while taking it from behind from 4-5 mobs totally ignoring them. You started autopotions at the beginning of the script, but start them again to make sure they work. Note about autopotions, you have to uncheck the boxes in your autopotions in the game before the bot will keep up with how many you have or use them properly. But don't remove abnormal status pills because the bot doesn't use them. When the conditions of your Return to Town config has been met, your bot will use a return scroll, delay 10 seconds when they get to town, then start all over again.

A couple of things that make this not work

Running out of gold! If you don't have enough money to do something in your config, the bot will halt and you will most likely DC.

If you inventory gets too full to hold the pots it is buying, it will halt. If you are buying a horse when you return make sure to leave at least one in your inventory so they will stack and the bot will continue. Setting up what you want to do with the items is done in the Item Select section of the config tab.

Silkroadonline Alchemy Database - Element Converter

Check out my GUI rough draft. Not bad for someone who has NEVER opened this program. Yeah I'll go ahead and start by admitting that I have no clue of how to do this. Well I do theory wise but I'm not so sure about what I'm going to end up with when I compile. I've added this GUI file to my project in KDevelop and set them as active targets. But when I compile nothing opens. Probably because... I don't know what I'm doing. This little prog really only needs to do a few things. Basically the model I'm going for:

Prog loads-- Displays Form
Input boxes hold values representing elements and are linked to the elements database
Make Stones button queries those values as:
e1 earth 1 f1 fire 1 you get the picture.

$query .= 'AND `e2` =< '.$e2.' AND `e3` =< '.$e3.' ';
and so on until all variables are passed as arguments.
(The above is php for what I am trying to do in c++. I have no idea of how to convert the syntax.)
Results from SQL query are displayed in the table below the form-
from there you can save your current list of elements-- clear the fields-- or exit.
In the finished version I would like to have a button in the result field that says Convert to Stone, subtracts the proper elements keeps track of what stones you have made
In the end you can save your steps and easily go into silkroadonline and make your stones without figuring anything out.
There's nothing genius about what I'm trying to do and I really don't think it should be very difficult. I've done programming in VBasic and C# .NET I don't want to use .NET cause I'm not a communist or a turk. It's impossible to find example projects for KDevelop because it's called the KDevelop Project, so when you google "Download KDevelop Project Source Code Tutorial HowTo Example" you get a bunch of bs promo sites for the KDev Project.

One thing at a time. I have the GUI file connected with my database, that was easy enough for me to click around and figure out. Now what I want to see is the form open and show the GUI when you double click the compiled file. Will it work with Mac or in Windows? who cares. I'd rather post 1mil tuts on Wine and running Win32 apps in Linux than make a port.

I've had a lot of people ask me about the version and theme I run for Ubuntu. This is it. You can achieve the same results by going into Synaptic and searching for studio ubuntu and installing the package, but here's a shortcut.

Studio Ubuntu can be installed as an alternative version and isn't lacking for anything. The main reason I use it isn't because of the theme, although I do like it more than the default ubuntu styles. When you install Studio, it takes care of a lot of libraries and codecs that you would normally have to do one at a time. It installs all the graphic, video, and audio editors and to be able to use them properly it also installs all the crap I just mentioned. A lot of times you'll download something like a video or mp3 or mp4 or whatever and the retarded default media player in ALL version of Linux is garbage. You have to go get the codecs one at a time and it's so, so, annoying. Like 5 years ago you wouldn't believe what all you had to go through to get an mp3 to play it's not worth getting into. Studio really simplifies everything and keeps the common noob from saying THIS IS STUPID WHY DID YOU TALK ME INTO PUTTING THIS ON MY COMPUTER IM GETTING A MAC! ROFL Mac haha omg you can't be serious. I hate Macs mostly because of the pompous jerks at every place that serves coffee for whatever reason, like coffee is really THAT good so good you would just go hang out at Starbucks that's so pathetic. Level 7 Alchemy Conversion finished. Before I start making this look presentable I need an idea of what all the site will have. It would be nice to be able to click on make stone and it subtract the right number of elements and tell you what stones you can still make. But that's too much math for me to deal with I hate math.

Also I want to make a walk script builder for agBot. The hardest part about that will be loading the maps in a way that doesn't waste resources cause the map files are huge. A bit tricky but w.e all that matters is that I make the site nice and turks download my keylogger so i can destroyer rondo all their sun spears.

A while ago I lost my bank card and had to get it canceled. I totally forgot to change my information on all of the sites that I have setup to automatically charge that card. When I see an 800 or even a strange area code I never answer the call because I know it's nothing I want to hear. I looked the numbers up and figured out where they came from and realized what I had done. A site like Reverse Cell Phone Lookup makes this process easier and completely cut out the 15 minutes worth of irrelevant garbage I would have had to listen to from the caller. So you've hunted by hand like a non botting loser, you collected your items, turned them into elements, you've got tablets, lets make some stones. What's annoying about this? Flipping through your storage to find out which tabs you have enough elements to make. I HATE doing that it's such a mindless process. Well that's why I've created this little prog. This site Silkroad Online Alchemy Database has what I'm looking for but needs improvement. I made an sql database out of this information. You move your stuff from storage into your inventory. In agBot there is a way to open the text file that holds your inventory information. You copy/paste your stuff into the box and it tells you which tabs you have enough elements to make. It's not even close to being ready, but it's coming soon. The version that I do have working is only for ruby lvl 8. It'll take some time to put everything together.

Ok Nevermind screw this. It's going to take way too long. When I made the database I made Water Fire Earth Wind and I entered the values as like W5 as in Water 5 and then the number of elements like W5 45. I have no idea of how to get the fields to search two values inside the same cell. And I sure don't want to make 9 different levels of each element in the same table thats just too wasteful to have that many zeros. My query would be like idk really long whatever eff this. Until I find a better way of doing this, this project is over.

These boots are available at work boots. Chuck Taylor probably never had a need for these but if you play airsoft or paintball or if you are an 31337 thief, these boots are what you need. I can't believe that Converse makes a tactical boot. I have a pair of tacts that I got from the war surplus store in town and I paid good money for them. Man, I want these boots. It's really funny how "experts" release all of these tools for "testing" network security. They really release tools for breeching network security. And this OS is nothing but exploit and cracking tools. From Cisco routers to NT password, port sniffers network jammers DOS tools whatever you want and it's on a live cd. I tried my best to install it on a hard drive but the repositories are out of date and they aren't working right. I could change them and go through all the steps just to get it on my drive but why. Do I really want a trace of this on my pc anyway? I'm almost ready to release my custom distribution and I think that I may have to include all of these tools. My boot loader would work really well with this because it doesn't let you boot into the OS directly. You'll have to put the loader files on a usb drive, unpack the os onto your hard drive, and boot to the usb drive. It has the location of the files saved and boots to that folder. Totally unnecessary but I don't care.

This is so lame. I got bored while waiting on some stuff to download and decided that I would look through the screensavers in Gnome. The default was blank screen and the wait time 10 minutes. Ok all I did was click the name, not double or press enter or preview just single click the name Braid and it shows a little preview window. TOO BAD CAUSE BRAID TOTALLY LOCKS UP GNOME! And the best part, it changed my idle time to 1 MINUTE! So I can't open the app the change it because the preview locks my pc, I can't leave my desktop for more than 1 minute because it freezes. I removed it and the configs for it, reinstalled it, whats the default now? BRAID AT 1 MINUTE! It didn't remove sh!t. Wow now I'm stuck in gayKE and ITS LAME! Pretty much I'm too valuable to spend my time posting stuff on here. Actually I have a lot of information on here that I'd like to save but there's not really anyway to organize the information. So I'm on the flowchart thinking of a way to combine all the knowledge I want to preserve. I need to start like a forum or something that is just little snippets of code that are useful. I look for sites like that but they are always full of horrible, horrible code. I wasted about 2 hours on a log on vb script because the person who wrote the code that I liberated was pitiful. Didn't work because it wasn't even vb script it was regular vb dddeerr. So simple small snippets, lists of links that don't suck or redirect to some advertisement, guides and tutorials on how to perform advanced incredibly advanced and prolific, just perform, maybe a feed of this very blog, and some more stuff here and there. I don't care if anyone ever goes to the site I just want it to be a database of all the stuff that I need to remember but cannot because there's sssoo much. Army of Dio will be lvl 5 soon. I remember a year or two ago when I founded Army of Dio because I was going to get banned for my other guild that will remain publicly unnamed. I really only did this because I wanted to see how horrible video editing would be in Ubuntu. Turns out, pretty horrible. I used Kino and maybe I'm being a little harsh with horrible. It did crash one time when I split a scene but everything was recovered when I reopened Kino. It has some pretty nice effects and probably some other features but I just wanted to split some video clips and export it. After I got the hang of the interface it was actually pretty easy to use. I guess it just looks kinda suck compared to Vegas. Still, I'd rather use buggy programs in Linux than some $5000 software suite on a Mac any day!

Everyone has been waiting on it, you've all been talking about it. It's here but don't tell anyone.

Got telnet, ftp, web site, all that stuff. I just put it up today to make sure it still works. I do have some content to put on it but I'm waiting on my internet upgrade next week. It's just so hard to make time to care when I have 6 bots to run.

Speaking of bots, P4rk3r and Gallatin are the biggest botters ever wow like a couple of Turk nubs. But seriously, I almost got agBot working in Wine. Actually it opens and runs but it will crash after so many movements. I can get it to start when it always dies after about 8 movements. So by the time it's finished with my buffs it dies. Talk about a pisser. It took me forever to be able to click on anything inside the bot. When you right click on things in Skill to add them as attacks nothing happens. If you open it in console and pay attention it says Unidentified Icon. So it doesn't understand what the popup window that says add imbue add buff add attack is called or supposed to look like. I loaded my config from the bot I totally never use and everything loaded fine, but now I can't click on start bot! Somehow I managed to get the focus on the start button and only space bar would press it. After trying to run it in every mode possible I finally got it to work just enough to piss me off and quit.

So pretty soon, just because I get this bored, I'm going to setup a vnc botting thing where I or someone I know can log on to any of my or their bots anywhere. If I can get a fast enough upload speed, I might start charging fools to log on to their bot remotely woot.

GameOver Linux? Funk Dat

No way I'm spending any time of that, UNLESS, its pretty much like booting into AG Bot. So, you boot into the botting system. No wasted memory, less lag, better chances of not getting disconnected, open more clients. Basically idc if you even get to see the game. It's just a botting system. AG Bot has everything you need to see, to make it more like the SRO minimap, you just have to put all that stuff in one spot instead of tabs. Have one main tab showing it all and then view the AG Bot itself in another window. Or just console the whole thing. Wine can do all that bs in the background and not show any graphics. So you boot to this botting dvd and you login and you look at only whats important. If it's in a dvd iso you can use it in a VM without needing the 3d support. And it shouldn't be too terribly hard to port since the code is already public. Maybe build in a proxy client to dodge the ip ban and add a thing to make the bots talk sh!t to each other while they run around and also make fun of ppl that walk by them. Wouldn't that be worst thing ever! walk past some bots and they follow you and rip on you for about 20 minutes?

Oh ya but the bot thing doesn't work in Wine.... lame if you know some rearry smart guy that can make this work make him do this

GameOver Linux?

I have officially become bored enough to start working on my first Linux distro. Basically, you boot into something that doesn't suck.... I have used a lot of "gamer" versions of Linux and they all get in line to spiffy up my taint. To all who have tried before, FAIL! fail hard. Ok, w/ the Envy installer, full compiz, games that don't suck and run in Wine like SRO and the unlicensed files from CoDx, AA, Assault Cube, and um.... idk what else is worth putting on the dvd, Wine w/ the glow patch, of course Gnome X, xfire plugin for gaim, basically, what Linux is like AFTER I'm finished installing all the stuff I want. So then I won't have to do all that sh!t, it'll be done during the install.

Custom kernel? Idk, Envy takes care of the video stuff but I have had a lot and I mean a lot of problems getting sound working the right way in pretty much every version of Linux. For sadness my Creative X-Fi Xtreme Fidelity Pro card shows up, you can pick it all night long, you won't get sound. USB headset works great and all Realtek drivers work great. But X-Fi, no dice and it's gay my card is super card #1 and I can't use it in Linux WOW Creative get your game up. Creative and ATI should get together and start a We Suck In Linux support group.

I'll start working on this right after we win TWL CAL CEVO SOTF and CPL. Hold up, phone call from central office, we go home at 12 today w00t Maybe I'll go home and start on this OR much more likely, I'll go home and play cod4 all day.

OMG Metal, how do you do it? Everytime you amaze and astound with 31337 5k115. I know thanks. I got it to work by turning up the dpi, setting to desktop window and changing from 2000 to of all of the things in the world to make something work right, windows me. You heard right, windows me saved the day, emulation style sort of. Well thats not all I did here's the run down.

First off you have to click on guide or movie and let wine install gecko. Close the game after install. Change to me, give the desktop a size, turn up dpi, i disabled sound and changed the game settings to low. Still a little turned away by the graphics but there's probably something out there to fix it, I hope. Oh yeah I didn't install the game. I copied my folder from my XP machine and put it in the program files folder in wine and ran the exe from console. There's your fix, that'll be $96954.43

My Linux Configs

Here are a few things I do to make my life easier in Linux. Speaking directly about Ubuntu 7.10 and 7.04 for the most part.

Change your repositories. It doesn't really matter which one just as long as you pick ftp instead of http. It usually works out a little better that way. Also enable the multiverse and third party sections of repositories to make sure you get all the 31337 apps you want.

Install Yakuake. It's a console window that scrolls from top of desktop and goes away by pressing f12. This will keep you from having to type sudo all the time.

Install the Studio Ubuntu package. It will say removing gnome desktop it's full of s-word. It'll install all kinds of stuff that will keep you from getting pissed off later. All the audio/video codecs and tools you will need will be installed along with several editors.

Install Envy and Compiz. Beryl is out. Just use the tutorial a few posts below to get the pro cube desktop. You'll amaze everyone who sees it and they may even turn into Linux people when they see what it can do on a level that they understand.

If you are planning on installing and using Wine make sure to get mstt corefonts. Just search corefont in the Synaptic.

If you really hate typing sudo all the time you can create a password for root and use that instead. In console:
sudo passwd root
type admin password
create password
verify password
type su
type password
now you are root and no one can eff with you.

Don't believe that last line :) You are very vulnerable when you log in as root. Highly don't do it. Especially going into an irc channel logged in as root, terrible mistake.

Terminal Server Client in Applications-Internet will allow you to connect to RDP and VNC-VNC5 servers. Alternatively Remote Desktop will allow you to use your desktop as a terminal service. I run my entire library lab off of two machines that terminal into my EduBuntu server. Very smooth and keeps the kids from playing faggy Halo instead of doing their research.

Crossover, Parallels, Cedega, FTL! Don't waste your time or money. I bought Parallels, which works great in Windows, but in Ubuntu with the updated Linux Kernel, forget about it. They released a patch to fix the problems 4 days ago they totally screwed up my dependencies. Thanks a lot Parallels you suck. If you need Windows that bad, dual boot. or..

Qemu Launcher FTW! For about 5 years I tried to install XP, 2000, anything in Qemu and it refused to give me any networking. But now, finally in 2008, from a default install of Qemu launcher and XP, I get full 3d and networking, sound, usb support, just like a real os. If you don't have a lot of ram I suggest NOT trying to run cumbersome application layer programs in it cause it can get a little laggy and crash. I use it almost every day to test my logon scripts and some other things at my job. Search Qemu in Synaptic and download everything with Qemu in the description.

System-Administration-System Monitor is the equivalent to Task Manager in Windows.

Pressing Alt-f2 will bring up a run dialog. Type something like konsole or yakuake or smb4k and the program opens.

In Linux, you type ifconfig not ipconfig.

To restart your xserver (not a mac-money-in-trash giant overpriced overrated rack server, your desktop server is called xserver fyi) type alt-ctrl-shift-backspace. This doesn't restart the machine it only restarts xserver. So if a program gets stuck or if your graphics crap out at some point, basically anything that goes wrong can be fixed with that command.

That should be more than enough to keep a Linux noob busy. Send every gnub to this site and take notes. Tell them I am the God of Linux and I demand they read my blogzor. Still hoping Strongbad joins GameOver. Still haven't tried playing SRO in Linux w/o corefonts. Or the video. Or anything because P4rK3r got me playing SRO again you jerk! I'll get to all that stuff as soon as I get to level 50. :)

Again, some people will say they got anything to work. Uninstalling corefonts may make Silkroad work for some reason, but it will totally ruin everything else in wine. You need that package to view pretty much anything in wine. But, we'll give it a shot and see what happens.

I might try this today might not. Depends on what's in store for me when I get home. Maybe 31337 p4rk3r will post the next update and call me a nub for not getting it to work. But maybe not :)

It has instructions and advice on installing/choosing compiz and beryl desktop managers. I have an Ati 2600HD card and this is what I installed. Code taken from the link above:

sudo aptitude install compizconfig-settings-manager

This installs the advanced settings manager for compiz and will add an extra button in the desktop background settings. It also installs the gui under system-preferences. After that I took:

gconftool-2 --type int --set /apps/compiz/general/screen0/options/hsize 4
gconftool-2 –type int –set /apps/compiz/general/screen0/options/number_of_desktops 1

This pretty much makes compiz a clone of beryl. The settings and options are all the same from what I see and this makes beryl not really worth installing. It has other plugins not enabled by default that you can change in the config gui.

I put the map in the modwarfare folder and clicked on the create mod thing and it was all i need 7za so I googled it and downloaded it and put it in that folder and it did something. when i opened the game back up i picked modware as the mod and typed map mp_matmata and there she was im all omg its about time but still cant join the game so gay

All the 31337 in me has failed to load matmata in cod4 yet again. In theory all you have to do is:

make a folder inside Mods
put the sh!t you want in it
folder must include a config file and a mod.ff file i think
to enable the mod type /fs_game Mods/modfolder

Well it's about the gayest thing ever because that totally doesn't work. It less than works.

My biggest question is why can I not upload a map into Pam4 folder and then load the map after Pam4 is enabled! OMG and WTF at the same time.

For those who don't know, Google is pretty much pro. It's pro like a giant rack on a B+ chick. Why is Google so pro? Well retard, this is why.

1. http://www.google.com/linux

You go that url, you type in search box, it search only linux related meta content. Why is this helpful? Well d!psh!t because, hold up it just started hailing outside zomg my car!! anyway try to search for something like spyware and linux. They don't seem to have any real matches. Until you do it in the linux specific google searches. Just don't search for Ati stuff you'll end up very disappointed. So if you're a person who's worth a piss, you'll start using google/linux.

2. http://www.google.com/gmm/mylocation.html?hl=en

This little thing is a mobile map utility that shows you your place on a map with or without gps! screw gps! over rated and over priced! Best thing is if you aren't a queer with an iphone or a faggy palm or something gay and you actually use a Blackberry, http://www.google.com/gmm/bes distributes maps from Enterprise server to everyone on the network. And it's free unlike every other product that claims to do this better. They don't believe me I tried them all.

3. http://code.google.com/

Search for code, get templates and snippets, and host your project on google. Pretty much they copied sourceforge but its a good thing. Sourceforge is overrun with dead projects and poor documentation. If you're trying to start some 31337 prog and don't know how to go about it, post it, submit something to get the code started, and let the open source community build your app for you. Try to get noticed and get help on sourceforge, you'll be there all day and leave super pissed off.

There are a ton of other reasons why google is pro but to keep me from looking like too big of a nerd I'll leave it at this. I would just like to point out that not reading my blog makes you a noob and it seriously shames you terribly. Do yourself a favor and tell your friends to come make fun of my opinions.

ATI please stopping eating my balls I need them. Why do your cards suck so bad? I mean yeah they are cheaper than Nvidia, at least they know it. Is it too much to ask for updated linux drivers? Are you that busy? Ati pro gaming teams suck it thoroughly. They lose all the time, most likely because they use Ati cards. Maybe Ati and Macintosh should team up to deliver the ABSOLUTE WORST and most useless software and hardware ever conceived. They were meant for each other. Um, people buy Macintosh stuff and it cracks up me. Especially because they promote their stuff by saying, it's just easier. HOW MUCH EASIER DO YOU IDIOTS NEED IT TO BE!
